Celebrating Our Volunteers: The Heart of Salmon Brook Historical Society
At Salmon Brook Historical Society, our volunteers are the driving force of our organization. Their passion and dedication make it possible for us to procure, preserve, present, and celebrate the rich history of Granby, Connecticut. Each volunteer brings unique skills and perspectives, enriching our exhibitions, research efforts, and educational programs.
We are incredibly grateful for the time and energy they invest in our mission. Whether guiding visitors through our exhibits or delving into historical research, our volunteers embody the spirit of community and collaboration. Honoring the History of Past Volunteers
Carol Anne Marquardt Laun
Carol Anne Marquardt Laun- world traveler, avid cyclist, talented writer, much-respected historian of Granby, CT, and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on June 20, 2021, at the age of 87. She faced the end of her journey, after a recurrence of ovarian cancer, with the same courage, grace, and organizational skills that she brought to everything else in her life.
She will be missed more than we can say.
